The application of polyurea coating with the help of a robot is becoming more frequent, especially in roofswide open areas, where a robot can advance thousands of meters without encountering any obstacle.
The advantages of applying a polyurea with a robot are greater productivity and higher quality of execution (more homogeneous thickness and adjusted to the project requirements). The robot does not get tired and is just as efficient early in the morning and late in the afternoon, after a long working day, either in hot or cold weather.
Some savings in application costs are evident (derived from higher productivity), others, for example, can be achieved thanks to automation and electronic controls on the equipment, so polyurea overconsumption may be avoided.
Krypton Chemical offers to his clients technical advice, even on site, to help them implement this new technology of the 21st century.
Polyurea H SL Mechanized systems with high performance and high productivity
Polyurea H SL is a two component modified polyurea resin that is hot spray applied.
Although it is a fast curing product, it is slightly slower and therefore more self-leveling than other hot-applied polyureas and polyurethanes. This results in a continuous, resilient pavement with a smooth or textured finish obtained by applying quartz and sealing it off with a Kryptanate, fast-curing polystyrene paint, thereby achieving a non-slip surface.
POLYUREA H SL – Advantages:
This Polyurea H SL has been designed for self-leveling floors, creating a slower curing product respecting the times of a fast curing material, for an excellent finish.
Fast execution that allows applying up to 800 m2/day.
Excellent commissioning times,
Very good resistance to ultraviolet radiation (offers color change if not protected with an aliphatic topcoat),
Waterproof and non-porous,
Possibility of making a non-slip floor,
High adherence to multiple substrates,
Resistant to abrasion, impact and wear (consult FT),
Wide range of colors.
POLYUREA H SL – Application´s examples:
Is used as a basecoat for self-leveling systems, the system consists of a first coat of epoxy primer 100, after 6-8 h depending on environmental conditions, application of 2 kg/m2 of optional Polyurea H SL powder of added to achieve a rough surface, after 4 h we will proceed to seal the system using an aliphatic top layer type (Kryptanate).
In interior areas with poor ventilation, we recommend the use of BLM 4800 Portable Master Extractor air extraction mechanisms. Fields of application, we will use the system in residential pavements, parking lots, industrial applications, warehouses, commercial areas, restaurants.

Project located in Portugal, carried out with the help and technical support of Globalpur (distributor of Krypton Chemical for Portugal).
In this case, the new single-component, fast-curing, high-performance polyurethane membrane, reference Impermax SF, was applied. This resin is totally free of solvents (no odor), that makes the application, transport (not ADR) and storage (non-flammable) easier.
