On construction sites, it is important to keep downtime and costs to a minimum. Krypton Chemical helps the industry save time and money by offering polyaspartic based solutions. We could colloquially define a PAS as a cold applied aliphatic polyurea (either roller, trowel or airless), or with electrical / hydraulic machines such as those used to apply conventional polyureas. Thanks to their characteristics, polyaspartics are a good option for highly resistant, durable floor coverings with excellent mechanical properties. Also thanks to its fast curing, polyaspartics are widely applied on industrial floors, shortening the application time and allowing a quick commissioning of the pavement.

Rayston Spray Gun Polyurethane cold spray and Polyurea
The RAYSTON SPRAY GUN is specially designed for jobs where rapid application is required.
The RAYSTON SPRAY GUN portable system is also ideal for 2-component coating repairs and maintenance work. This autonomous system only requires an air connection. An integrated air flow control regulator allows the user to operate this system with one hand, making the RAYSTON SPRAY GUN a unique and easy-to-use solution.
Case study of the week Cover encapsulation with asbestos fibers (area of 800 m2, Mallorca)
Problem: Fiber cement roof (with asbestos) with problems of water infiltration inside. The replacement of the current roof and the construction of a new roof were ruled out due to its high cost and because it implied the total stoppage of the company’s activity for several months.
Solution: We opted to do a treatment on top of the current roof, of course preventing asbestos fibers from escaping into the environment. The applied system consisted of a 50 density polyurethane foam, RAYSTON SPRAY FOAM 50, a hot applied polyurea waterproofing membrane and the aliphatic protective top coat of COLODUR white pigmented, “cool-roof” type. With a single action, four important objectives were achieved: solving the problems of water infiltration, improving the thermal insulation of the roof, encapsulating the asbestos (system with certificate of encapsulation) and ultimately lengthening the useful life of the roof (ETA certificate for 25 years).
In addition, before the treatment, supports for photovoltaic panels were installed (cf picture), to avoid perforating the waterproofing system. In short, with a simple treatment it was possible to improve the sustainability of the roof and the entire building. Finally, it should be noted that the reflective white top coat of COLODUR will allow optimizing the electricity production of these photovoltaic panels, by significantly reducing the surface temperature of the roof.
